Member Roundtables

Volunteer chairs and steering committees lead roundtables and Association staff help develop educational programs and facilitate communication among members.

Member roundtables facilitate peer conversations among our members. Member roundtable discussions provide the opportunity to connect with peers in similar philanthropic entities and discuss the unique issues they face in their grantmaking practice.

Business Giving Roundtable
The Business Giving Roundtable provides a venue for corporate grantmakers to exchange ideas and share their unique processes, from online grant applications to strategic planning--a network of peers to be called upon as an invaluable resource. It also includes presentations on a broad range of topics of interest to a business audience.

Family Philanthropy Roundtable
The Family Philanthropy Roundtable began in April 2002 to provide an opportunity for family foundation trustees and board members to talk with each other about the joys and challenges of family philanthropy and share expertise, experiences, questions, and concerns with others in similar situations.

Maryland Community Foundations Association
Together, as the Maryland Community Foundations Association (MCFA), we speak with one voice in promoting philanthropy to benefit towns, cities and rural areas across the state. Community Foundations specialize in helping individuals, families and businesses plan and carry out their charitable giving; and in building endowments to serve their regions' changing needs.
