You are cordially invited to a conversation with Susan Taylor Batten, president and CEO of the Association of Black Foundation Executives (ABFE).

As a national affinity group, ABFE counts among its members the most influential staff, trustees and donors of grantmaking institutions that promote effective and responsive philanthropy in Black communities. This spring, ABFE unveiled Responsive Philanthropy in Black Communities, a new framework and set of resources designed to challenge thinking among funders and strengthen investment strategies.

Batten was previously a senior associate with the Annie E. Casey Foundation, where she served with the Community Change Initiatives Unit, providing resources to help transform neighborhoods into family supportive environments, and also coordinated a portfolio on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. This interactive program will explore some of ABFE's recent initiatives and specifically address the role of philanthropy in supporting Black communities. Batten will also highlight key issues facing our communities as well as opportunities and strategies for funders to implement change.

This program is for members only; lunch will be served.
