The Maryland Business Philanthropy Awards program is a joint effort between the Maryland Chamber of Commerce and the Baltimore Business Journal to recognize Maryland businesses that have demonstrated a commitment to improving the quality of life for residents of the state through their philanthropic efforts.

We are currently seeking nominations for the 2015 Maryland Business Philanthropy Awards.Click here to download the nomination form (pdf).

Companies that have provided outstanding support for local non-profits, 501(c)(3)s and/or schools between September 2014 and August 2015 are eligible. A panel of business and community leaders judge the nominees based on the extent of the service provided to the community, the impact on the community and the commitment the business has shown to the community over time. Judges also take into consideration the size of the business relative to their corporate giving.

At least one outstanding small (1-100 employees), medium (101-500 employees) and large (more than 500 employees) business will receive an award.

The deadline for submitting nominations is Wednesday, September 30, 2015.

The awards are presented as part of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) - Maryland Chapter’s Philanthropy Day Luncheon event, which will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the Waterfront Marriott Hotel in Baltimore.
