Online giving was up 90% this year on #GivingTuesday, one of the world's leading suppliers of software for non-profits reports.
#Giving Tuesday started last year as a charitable answer to the retail shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Other success stories include giving in Baltimore, where residents raised $5.4 million to beat their goal of $5 million.
