As a member of the national philanthropic sector, ABAG supports connections to other philanthropic organizations around the country.

Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers
The Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers (the Forum) is a national philanthropic leader and a network of 34 regional associations of grantmakers, including ABAG. The Forum supports philanthropy by strengthening the ability of all regional associations to fulfill their missions; these associations promote the growth and effectiveness of philanthropy in order to improve life in their communities.

Council on Foundations
The Council on Foundations is an association of foundations and corporations that serves the public good by promoting and enhancing responsible and effective philanthropy.

National Affinity Groups
Affinity groups and grantmaker networks represent a wide variety of both issues of interest and population groups. They are a source for up-to-date grantmaking information in their focus areas. Some groups emphasize networking and information exchange among members, while others advocate for an issue or cause within philanthropy and beyond. Generally, these groups serve the grantmaking community, although some include grantee organizations as members.

The Foundation Center
The Foundation Center's mission is to strengthen the nonprofit sector by advancing knowledge about U.S. philanthropy.

National Center for Family Philanthropy
The National Center for Family Philanthropy promotes philanthropic values, vision, and excellence across generations of donors and donor families.

GrantCraft collects wisdom from grantmakers and turns it into guides, workshops, videos, and other tools to help grantmakers hone their craft.

Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO)
Grantmakers for Effective Organizations is a coalition of grantmakers committed to building strong and effective nonprofit organizations.

Project Streamline
Project Streamline is a collaborative effort of grantmaking and grantseeking organizations working to improve grant application and reporting practices. Visit the website for free resources.

The Center for Effective Philanthropy
The Center for Effective Philanthropy (CEP) provides foundations and other philanthropic funders with comparative data to enable higher performance.

Independent Sector
Independent Sector is the leading researcher on giving and volunteering trends and nonprofit sector statistics; provides information on evaluation and organizational effectiveness, and regular communications on federal, state, and local public policy issues affecting philanthropy.

National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy
A national membership organization which works make philanthropy more responsive to people with the least wealth and opportunity, more relevant to critical public needs, and more open and accountable to all, in order to create a more just and democratic society.

The Philanthropy Roundtable
A national association of individual donors, corporate giving representatives, foundation staff and trustees, and trust and estate officers. The Roundtable operates on the principle that voluntary private action offers the best means of addressing many of society's needs, and that a vibrant private sector is critical to creating the wealth that makes philanthropy possible.
